When acceptance becomes a decision
On admitted student campus days — what they are, why they matter, and how they often bring the final decision into focus.
Recently, a longtime friend from my college years attended an admitted student campus day with her child. Hearing her reflect on the experience afterward reminded me how meaningful this stage of the process can be.
What These Programs Are
Campus visit days take place after admission decisions are released and are designed for students who have been accepted but are still deciding. Unlike a standard campus tour, these programs are curated specifically for admitted students and provide a deeper look at academic life and community.
Students may attend sample classes, meet faculty, join student panels, and explore residential life in a more immersive way. Sometimes the clarity is immediate. Sometimes it simply brings focus. Either way, it often plays an important role in the final decision.
